Mangayaw represents a traditional ceremony of hunting in Taiwan.  The aboriginal Taiwanese people celebrated the harvest annually in the past, but now this is an exciting celebration of music and dance. Ting Chaun Chen’s music explores the spirit of this animated ceremony with a marimba soloist accompanied by a driving percussion quartet. Mangayaw captures the spirit and celebration of life!   It is perfect for any ensemble concert or student recital.
