Welcome to the American Percussion Seminar, a virtual percussion workshop featuring some of the biggest names in percussion performance and education! I am Mark Ford, Coordinator of Percussion at the University of North Texas and Past-President of the Percussive Arts Society. I am proud to be the Artistic Director for the American Percussion Seminar. This seminar is an incredible 10-Day Percussion Summer Educational Event featuring percussion artists of the highest caliber. The seminar will offer clinics/masterclasses and lessons on marimba/vibraphone performance, as well as outstanding Guest Artist Clinics on snare drum, drum set, timpani, orchestral repertoire, jazz and much more! Here is what to expect:
- Musical Integrity from World-Class Percussionists and Educational Leaders
- Develop Beautiful Artistry with Technical Sensitivity
- Learn Diverse Styles and Approaches
- Work With Visionary Performers and Artistic Influencers
- Global Performing and Teaching Experience
- Develop Percussion Networking Opportunities
- Marching to Concert Percussion: Common Techniques for Success
- Learn From the Best!
And finally, all this at a cost that is reasonable! Even better, if three students attend from one school, their teacher can join all sessions for free! So come be part of the First Annual American Percussion Seminar! All of the faculty and guests are looking forward to working with you! Best Wishes,
Mark Ford
