“Tangents” was originally written as a solo for timpani and hi-hat and is available in that format. This version adds a percussion quartet to accompany the soloist, providing two performance options for the soloist. The work is an exciting adventure for both the quartet and soloist. It is a perfect timpani feature for any student recital!
